A BOOK LAUNCH
In The Ripple Effect Sarah Lawson describes how a casual conversation on a Polish train in the summer of 1980 changed her life forever. One of the many indirect results of that meeting was an association with the Medical Aid for Poland Fund and a memorable drive to Katowice in a lorry loaded with medical supplies. Other results included two kayak trips, an interview with the poet Jan Twardowski, and numerous warm friendships. The Ripple Effect tells the whole unlikely story covering 25 years. |
