🌍 Together for volunteering and Polish heritage!

From October 15–18, 2026, our volunteers, Piotr and Dawid, represented the Medical Aid for Poland Fund at the Congress of the Youth Volunteer Corps of the Polish Diaspora around the World, held in Poland. The event brought together young activists and coordinators involved in Polish diaspora activities from around the world, creating a space for exchanging experiences, gaining knowledge, and establishing international contacts.

A meeting of young Poles from all over the world

The meeting was attended by 45 people representing Polish communities from 11 countries: Australia, Austria, the Netherlands, Canada, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Germany, the United States, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Italy. For Piotr and Dawid, it was a special occasion, allowing them to meet people involved in social and volunteer activities in various countries, hear their experiences, and share their own insights. The meetings demonstrated the many common threads between young people working outside Poland and the importance of collaboration in building active and supportive Polish communities.

Knowledge, inspiration and new opportunities

The congress program included meetings, workshops and discussions devoted to, among others, the development of youth volunteering, the promotion of Polish heritage, social activities and supporting people in need.

Participants had the opportunity to develop practical skills, learn new methods of engaging young people, and exchange ideas for future initiatives. An important element of the event was also learning about contemporary Poland and meeting with representatives of institutions and individuals involved in social life.

Participating in the summit was a valuable experience for our volunteers. Piotr and Dawid returned with new knowledge, inspiration, and ideas that they will be able to use in their future work with the Medical Aid for Poland Fund. Such gatherings serve as a reminder that volunteering is not only about helping others, but also about collaboration, mutual learning, and building relationships that can lead to long-term change.

A new chapter in Polish diaspora cooperation

We are proud to announce that Piotr and Dawid have officially joined the Polish Youth Volunteer Corps in the UK! 🤝

This is an important step that opens up new opportunities for cooperation with young volunteers and Polish organizations and allows for even more active participation in initiatives connecting Poles living abroad.

We believe that the experiences we have gained, the connections we have made, and the ideas we have shared will lead to further initiatives for our community. We are delighted that our volunteers can represent the Medical Aid for Poland Fund at international events and expand their activities within a broader network of collaborations.

We would like to thank the "Świat na TAK" Foundation for the invitation, organizing the meeting and creating a space where young people from different countries could meet, share experiences and jointly develop the idea of Polish community volunteering. Thank you for the inspiring meetings and the opportunity to participate in this unique event. We return with renewed energy and motivation to continue working for others, our community, and our Polish heritage! 💙
