It is with great pride and gratitude that we announce that Medical Aid for Poland Fund has been awarded the "Pro Patria" Medal, awarded by the Head of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression. 🕊️
The "Pro Patria" Medal is awarded to individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions to preserving the memory of Poland's struggle for independence. This unique distinction recognizes those who, through their activities, commitment, and community service, contribute to cultivating Polish history, identity, and national spirit – both within and outside the country.
The medal was accepted by Dr. Bożena Łaskiewicz, chairwoman and founder of MAPF, and Piotr Książek, the Fund's youngest volunteer and manager of MAPF's social media and website. Receiving this award is a tremendous honor and a symbol of recognition for over four decades of providing help and hope to Poles in need.
📜 The medal was awarded by decision no. 2646/SU/2025 of 9 October 2025, at the request of the Polish Embassy in London.
We thank everyone who supports our mission - volunteers, donors, and friends of the Fund, because it's thanks to you that we've been able to bring hope for over 40 years. ❤️
